About me...about me.... hmmm, let's see...

Life began for me on February 22, 1732 on my father's plantation on Pope's Creek in Westmoreland County, Virginia, as the son of Augustine Washington and his second wife, Mary Ball. But it wouldn't be until 1752, when my half-brother, Lawrence Washington, died that I would inherit Mount Vernon. And it was only after my marriage to the wealthy widow Martha Dandridge Custis that I was able to rise to the highest echelons of Virginia's planter society.

Oh Wait... that was a story I wrote about George Washington in the 4th grade.
